I couldn't possibly comment on this.<br /><br />Anyway, the street-artist roll-call included <a href="http://www.egotrips.de/">Rookie</a>, <a href="http://www.eseaene.com/">San</a>, <a href="http://www.fotolog.com/klit">Klit</a> (photo 2 below), <a href="http://www.ruse76.com/">Ruse76</a> (who has decorated the cornerhouse window in the past, <a href="http://www.mattsewell.co.uk">Matt Sewell</a> who did the mural on the wall of Common, <a href="http://www.dreph.com">Dreph</a>, <a href="http://guymckinley.com/">Guy McKinley</a>, and ooh loads more.<br /><br />This year's festival was pretty rained out, especially on the Sunday, and the street artists were stop-starting with the showers. Browse all the photos on Flickr, there's some superb ones. <a href="http://www.flickr.com/search/?q=eurocultured">http://www.flickr.com/search/?q=eurocultured</a><br /><br />Here's my top 4. As ever, if you know who the artists are, let me know! Particularly the top one, which seems very familiar. Big love! It's God, looking at himself in a green-tinted mirror, in the bath, surely?<br /><br /><a href="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/8117/111/1024/RIMG0163.jpg"><img style="CLEAR: all; FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/8117/111/400/RIMG0163.jpg" border="0" /></a> <br /><a href="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/8117/111/1024/RIMG0162.jpg"><img style="CLEAR: all; FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/8117/111/400/RIMG0162.jpg" border="0" /></a> <br /><a href="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/8117/111/1024/RIMG0170.jpg"><img style="CLEAR: all; FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/8117/111/400/RIMG0170.jpg" border="0" /></a> <br /><a href="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/8117/111/1024/RIMG0148.jpg"><img style="CLEAR: all; FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/8117/111/400/RIMG0148.jpg" border="0" /></a> <a href='http://picasa.google.com/blogger/' target='ext'><img src='http://photos1.blogger.com/pbp.gif' alt='Posted by Picasa' style='border: 0px none ; padding: 0px; background: transparent none repeat scroll 0% 50%; -moz-background-clip: initial; -moz-background-origin: initial; -moz-background-inline-policy: initial;' align='middle' border='0' /></a> Ryanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04205864921175607137noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15895525.post-1148731187427574772006-05-27T04:56:00.000-07:002006-05-29T05:32:36.460-07:00Canal Street / Princess Street<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ryan_b/154100172/" title="photo sharing"><img src="http://static.flickr.com/63/154100172_80acd59a0f_m.jpg" alt="" style="border: solid 2px #000000;" /></a><br /><span style="font-size: 0.9em; margin-top: 0px;"><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ryan_b/154100172/">Canal Street / Princess Street</a> <br /></span><br clear="all" /><br><br /><A HREF='http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/8117/111/1024/RIMG0130.jpg'><IMG SRC='http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/8117/111/400/RIMG0130.jpg' border=0 alt='' style='clear:all;float:left;margin: 0px 10px 10px 0px; cursor:hand'></A> <a href='http://picasa.google.com/blogger/' target='ext'><img src='http://photos1.blogger.com/pbp.gif' alt='Posted by Picasa' style='border: 0px none ; padding: 0px; background: transparent none repeat scroll 0% 50%; -moz-background-clip: initial; -moz-background-origin: initial; -moz-background-inline-policy: initial;' align='middle' border='0' /></a> <br><p>A colourful little space invader, bigger than most, which I walked past hundrends of times before spotting.</p>Ryanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04205864921175607137noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15895525.post-1148114596910665772006-05-20T01:32:00.000-07:002006-05-20T01:43:16.916-07:00A natural selectionWe flock to the city, attracted by that sort of culture and vibrancy which only seems to spring up when people live piled on top of each other in their thousands or millions. But that urban edge comes with a price - as the people pile in the nature is squeezed out; we are removed from our natural habitat and we feel an ennui at its loss. And that's undoubtedly what motivated the artists below to bring a bit more sky, parrots and potted ferns into Manchester's grey corners.<br /><br /><br /><a href="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/8117/111/1024/RIMG0121.jpg"><img style="CLEAR: all; FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/8117/111/400/RIMG0121.jpg" border="0" /></a> <br /><a href="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/8117/111/1024/RIMG0132.jpg"><img style="CLEAR: all; FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/8117/111/400/RIMG0132.jpg" border="0" /></a> <br /><a href="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/8117/111/1024/RIMG0115.jpg"><img style="CLEAR: all; FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/8117/111/400/RIMG0115.jpg" border="0" /></a> <a href='http://picasa.google.com/blogger/' target='ext'><img src='http://photos1.blogger.com/pbp.gif' alt='Posted by Picasa' style='border: 0px none ; padding: 0px; background: transparent none repeat scroll 0% 50%; -moz-background-clip: initial; -moz-background-origin: initial; -moz-background-inline-policy: initial;' align='middle' border='0' /></a> Ryanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04205864921175607137noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15895525.post-1148026351098838932006-05-19T01:05:00.000-07:002006-05-20T01:46:45.206-07:00Hmmm writes!I want to share with you the following missive I recieved from Hmmm.<br /><br />"Hmmm has many guises and faces on and off the street.
